The Hess road to Interstate 25 cutover road should start around November 2008 and be completed one year later. This is of course if all budget items are finalized and completed as reported. NOTE: I received a call from a town official today telling me the road start date will most likely be pushed back but he would not comment on EXACTLY what the new days would be.

The Parker Colorado Real Estate Market:

• Showings are down considerably from a year ago. Data from the RE/MAX office in Parker has showings down almost 35%.
• Second Quarter sales volume improved over first quarter.
• Median sales price was about $300,000 for single family detached homes for sale in Parker.
• April Sales Volume for Parker Colorado real estate was 159 units sold. Down 9% from a year ago.
• May sales volume for Parker Colorado real estate was 184 units sold. Down 19% from a year ago.
• June sales volume for Parker Colorado real estate was 169 units sold. Down 21% from a year ago.
• Average Sales price for April = $342,172 for homes and $166,668 for condos.
• Average sales price for May = $383,117 for homes and $172,963 for condos.
• Average sales price for June = $341,544 for homes and $ 172,936 for condos.

Personal

Living in Parker and selling Parker, Colorado real estate has definitely been a blessing. For my wife and I growing up in very active families makes living in Parker a natural fit. My wife and two small children (boy 3 & girl <1year) take advantage of all the area has to offer. We can be found doing most of our favorite activities during our free time. Skiing, mountain biking, snowshoeing, fly fishing, hiking or just walking around town or the bike paths. My new favorite has to be hanging out in the cul-de-sac watching our kids play. (I love it) Our biggest problem is not trying to find something to do it's figuring out what activity are we going to do this beautiful day. Believe it or not sometimes it can be a bit of a discussion to figure out which activity we can agree on. See you outside!
